As a Child Sponsor Volunteer, you represent a very important part of Mission E4. Child sponsorship, as you know, is beneficial in so many ways. Without this program, many children who live in desperate conditions would not have an opportunity for an education and would not receive a hot meal and medical care. Child sponsorship also gives the sponsors an opportunity to impact and connect with kids in Haiti or Albania, and it allows Mission E4’s work overseas to happen. We are grateful for your heart for these children and for the sponsors you have recruited, and we thank you for all that you do.

We believe that we are at an exciting juncture with our child sponsorship program, with over 800 of the 1300 children in our schools being sponsored. That is a good percentage – but the urgent needs are still so great! So, with the 1000 mark so close at hand, we want to encourage you to stretch and work together with us to reach that number by April 30, 2012. If each of our 60+ Child Sponsor Volunteers finds sponsors for three children during the months of March and April, our goal will be realized, and more children’s lives will be changed.

But, because we want to inspire you to surpass that goal, we are offering you an incentive. Although the real incentive to finding sponsors is to provide a way to show God’s love to the children overseas as we meet their needs, we want you to have a special thank you from us as well. If you are able to find sponsors for five children during the two-month time period, we will double the amount you can earn toward your next mission trip from $25 per sponsorship to $50. (As always, you can apply up to $500 toward a single trip.) For the top three people who find sponsors for ten or more children, we are offering additional awards. For the person with the most sponsored children (over ten), you will receive a new Kindle Fire, pre-loaded with two of our favorite books, “Serving With Eyes Wide Open” and “When Helping Hurts,” along with Haitian artwork valued at $100. For second place, you will receive Haitian artwork valued at $100, and for third place, you will receive Haitian artwork valued at $50.
